This is the promise of Secrets.

When you write a Secret, it is scrambled into unreadable ciphertext on your device before it is ever sent to our servers. The only key that can unscramble it is generated and stored exclusively on your devices. It is mathematically impossible for anyone—including us—to read what you've written.
From your mind to a secure digital vault, in three steps.
You write an entry on your phone or laptop and toggle the "Secret" lock. At this moment, it is still just plain text on your device.
Using your private key, your device instantly scrambles the text into a complex, unreadable string of characters. This happens before it ever leaves your device.
We sync this scrambled text to our servers so you can access it on your other devices. To us, it's just random noise. When you open it on another device, your private key decrypts it back into your original thought.
